Perfect
I believe in the one perfect God –
The creator of the perfect universe.
I trust that His love is perfect –
Love for His children.
What is perfect about allowing the pervert access to children?
What is perfect about hardening children’s hearts – turning one to another?
What is perfect about showcasing power, preaching humility to children?
What is perfect about propagating self-denial, whilst having created the world for children’s pleasure?
What is perfect about exacting retribution when children are called to forgive seventy times seven?
What is perfect about children left wailing, with the Father being glorified by His choicest best?
Jealous, Mighty, Loving God, we are all that You made us to be
In the setting that You planted us in,
Amongst those You chose for us to be with,
To do what You will of us to do.
We are Jealous, Loving and Power-seeking – all in You, our maker’s form.
We look for perfection in the world as You do in us.
We are disappointed and appreciate You do too.
Would you still judge us in your righteousness?
Is there a Father that gives up on a wayward child?
Does a Father prepare a furnace for His erring children?
When in Your majesty will hoping for death be a plea for help, not to be judged?
Why would Your blessing be the start to anxious trials of children’s loyalty?
What is human thinking to your infinite wisdom?
Are Your children’s mortal journey all of wading through murky waters?
In Your such love, oh immortal God –
The heirs wither away in efforts to be Your own!
