I am Runa Maine. I am just about any one of you in your dark days – a reflection of your innermost thoughts, feelings and viewpoints, giving them word form in an attempt to make sense of it all. When things don’t make sense, we still have options. You probe if you are hopeful, you give up if you are at your wit’s end or you record them in the hope that they will make sense in the future. I choose the third. After all, our moving from one day to another is in itself a hope for something better, if not bigger.
If we were to bank on the wisdom of people before our times, our life’s mysteries and questions would begin to make sense eventually. I am beginning to wonder if what they meant was that the most recent mystery would tower above the past one shadowing its presence, until of course the next peeps from around the corner.
In this blog space, I have created a few quasi-fictitious characters who go about lives like we do – doing great things, fumbling along the way, smiling, crying, thinking and reminiscing. They play our roles, with the difference that they speak their heart and mind. Some time in the future, you can speak through them with your life stories. For now, they are connecting with you by opening themselves up. They remind you that you are not alone in your intense and at times ‘dark’ thinking because there are people around you, who – like you – are seeking light through the haze and searching for needles in haystacks. If the sane and the successful of this world can have a ‘big boys and girls club’, why not us who are in a quest for something deeper, where either the darkness blinds us or we discover light anew?n tristiquee dui vel semper.
